When we first developed the 2024 conference theme—Rise, Reimagine, and Reinvent—we didn’t know those words would provide comfort and guidance at this moment. But is how we keep moving forward: no matter what, we keep rising, we keep reimagining, and we continue to reinvent how we help build a world that we want for the future.
As we reflect on the incredible #HealthyTeen24 conference, we can’t help but think back to our opening session when the Rising Youth Theatre, a youth leadership organization working at the intersection of art and social justice, took the stage and inspired us with the hope of finding “glimmers and sparkles” in their performance.
For many, this conference was more than a professional gathering—it was a chance to reset, refocus, and reconnect. Whether it was hearing young people share what they truly need, imagining new approaches to programming, or just celebrating community, it was clear that #HealthyTeen24 was a much-needed moment of light.
For many, this conference was more than a professional gathering—it was a chance to reset, refocus, and reconnect.
We had a blast wrapping up day one with our Under the Desert Stars networking reception. There were snacks and drinks, live music, a packed dance floor, caricature art, and opportunities to connect with attendees! One attendee said, “Watching attendees embrace, cheer, chat, and dance was like attending the best family reunion ever.”
On Tuesday morning we gathered to watch the sun rise over the Phoenix Mountain Preserve and hike along the Charles M. Christiansen Memorial Trail. The turnout was amazing! The palpable sense of belonging left us all feeling energized. One attendee described it as “beautiful.”
Though the future holds uncertainty, one thing is clear: Healthy Teen Network will continue to serve as a place of connection, innovation, and support. Whether you’re seeking new ideas, trainings, or a space to feel heard and seen, we’re here for you.
And that’s why we can’t wait to see you at #HealthyTeen25 in Atlanta! Together, we’ll keep building this vibrant, inclusive community, sparking ideas, and creating change.
