Recruiting? Facebook can help: Using social media to recruit participants

Hidden in Plain Sight: Minor Sex Trafficking in Maryland

2018

Here, we use and infographic show lessons learned from using social media channels to recruit participants into research studies and programs. This resource was originally designed for our poster presentation at the 2018 American Public Health Association (APHA) meeting.

We looked at the cost of paid social media campaigns, the effectiveness, the diverse reach, and any resources an organization needed to launch a campaign.

Social media can support program recruitment efforts. The infographic presents a cost-benefit analysis of paid social media campaigns across social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google Ad Grants, Grindr, and Scruff.
